Information We Collect

Military Capability Gap Matcher does not require public user accounts, payment information, or profile creation.

When you use the search tool, the site may process the text you paste, the contents of an uploaded brief, the selected source filter, and related search settings.

The server may also collect ordinary technical logs such as IP address, request URL, timestamp, browser or user agent, response status, and diagnostic errors.

The public site uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage, which may collect page views, approximate location, browser and device information, referrer information, and analytics identifiers through Google tags or cookies.

How We Use Information

• Return ranked capability-gap matches and source links.
• Generate optional AI summaries of top matches when an AI provider is configured.
• Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the site.
• Monitor source-refresh and database health for administrative use.

AI and Service Providers

When AI summaries or LLM-based gap review are enabled, relevant search text, brief excerpts, and selected public source records may be sent to a configured AI provider. The current local configuration may use Groq or another compatible provider depending on deployment settings.

The site may also rely on hosting, database, logging, analytics, and security providers, including Google Analytics for public site measurement. Information is shared with those providers only as needed to operate the service, protect the site, understand usage, comply with law, or respond to abuse.

Sensitive Information

Do not submit classified information, controlled unclassified information, export-controlled technical data, trade secrets, proprietary customer information, protected health information, or sensitive personal information.

The public site is intended for open-source, public, and non-sensitive evaluation only.

Retention

Search queries and uploads are processed to return results and are not intentionally stored as capability records. Search terms may still appear in URLs, browser history, server logs, diagnostic traces, or short-lived application caches.

Public source records, normalized metadata, embeddings, topic assignments, and source-refresh outputs may be retained as part of the searchable corpus.

Cookies

The public search experience does not use cross-site behavioral advertising. Google Analytics may set analytics cookies or similar identifiers to measure site usage. Basic technical cookies or browser authentication behavior may also be used for protected administrative areas if needed.

Security

Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to operate the site, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Children

Military Capability Gap Matcher is not directed to children under 13, and the site is not intended to collect information from children.
